Local government in its every action touches people in their daily lives more intimately than any other form of government. This field involves thousands upon thousands of local governments ranging from large cities and counties to small towns, boroughs, special districts and authorities. In this setting, attorneys advise local governments on a daily basis on everchanging and expanding legal problems.

IMLA provides a specific, yet thorough set of tools so a local government attorney can quickly anticipate and react to change in federal, state and local law.

We invite you to discover more of our services by viewing our benefits. IMLA's bi-weekly newsletter sorts through caselaw and other developments around the country and summarizes local legal development on a timely basis. IMLA also recruits legal experts to author in-depth articles published in our bi-monthly magazine, the Municipal Lawyer.
